Of BO and Fresh Air

You woke up in the morning, took your shower which last for ages (wouldn't help u reach the office early when u woke up 45 mins before office starts), dressed nicely with ur sleek shirt and pant which still smell of the fabric softener (softlan lah, what else?), sprayed urself 2-3 puffs of those EDT and off u went to the LRT station.

Then, the train came and you boarded slowly. Suddenly, u caught a faint smell ... which was kinda nauseating to the nose. Oohh what was that smell, stench, reek, stink? And, overcoming the sleepiness u're feeling and coming to ur senses ... u're facing with the horrid dilemma of public transport. It's the attack of the BO again!!! Ohh God, 20++ minutes ride to KLCC felt like forever in there.

I'm not gonna finger-pointing here, but don't these people realized they have problems with their body exuding not-so-nose-friendly odor? Even if they knew, why can't they do something about it? Just being ignorance and oblivious to ur surrounding huh? And let the other poor souls out there (including urs truly), to suffocate and gasping for fresh air everytime the train's doors open ... aiyahh, do we need to bring our oxygen mask next time?

And this happened in the morning, where we could expect everybody is fresh and clean. Just brave urself (and ur nose) to undergo the fear factor of public transport in the evening ... people going home after one hard day at work, do i need to say more?

What can we do apart from drive ourselves to work? Be patience and go through this ordeal every day, morning and evening. Stay near to the door so u can gasp for fresh air whenever the train stops at a station. Or, if u really could not endure anymore, cover ur nose with ur hand or handkerchief.

If u're generous enough, u might wanna buy a lot of deodorants and give'em out free to those u suspect having BO problems. Even that, would you walk up to the person and tell him/her about his/her problem? Kinda embarassing for us and them isn't it? So, as the old saying says .... "sabo jelah!!!"

Right To Be Wrong

To all the nosey people out there, read and understand. We're just human, born to make mistakes. What we gotta do is learn from the experience and take heed. So stop being nosey and mind ur own gdmf business ... tqvm.

I've got a right to be wrong
My mistakes will make me strong
I'm stepping out into the great unknown
I'm feeling wings though I've never flown
I've got a mind of my own
I'm flesh and blood to the bone
I'm not made of stone
Got a right to be wrong
So just leave me alone

I've got a right to be wrong
I've been held down too long
I've got to break free
So I can finally breathe
I've got a right to be wrong
Got to sing my own song
I might be singing out of key
But it sure feels good to me
Got a right to be wrong
So just leave me alone

You're entitled to your opinion
But it's really my decision
I can't turn back I'm on a mission
If you care don't you dare blur my vision
Let me be all that I can be
Don't smother me with negativity
Whatever's out there waiting for me
I'm going to faced it willingly

I've got a right to be wrong
My mistakes will make me strong
I'm stepping out into the great unknown
I'm feeling wings though I've never flown
I've got a mind of my own
Flesh and blood to the bone
See, I'm not made of stone
I've got a right to be wrong
So just leave me alone

I've got a right to be wrong
I've been held down to long
I've got to break free
So I can finally breathe
I've got a right to be wrong
Got to sing my own song
I might be singing out of key
But it sure feels good to me
I've got a right to be wrong
So just leave me alone

Lament of the day

cold was my soul, untold was the pain
i felt when u left me alone in the rain
so i swore to the razor that never enchained
would ur dark nails of faith be pushed through my veins again

Quote of the day

Friends are like underwear, always near you
Good friends are like condoms, always protecting you
Best friends are like Viagra, lift you up when you are down

Bwahahahahaha ... LOL ROTFL :-)

meself

Heh .. got this thing from a forwarded email, u know, those presentation slides where u answer questions and in the end u'll get the answer to wateva they're asking. Sometimes, the answer pretty accurate but this time .. whoaa, just like a smack to the face! Kinda scary coz its true ... buuhuhu ... but there're something else too which were not included.

"You have very strong will, not dependent on others and gives an impression of being a lone-ranger. You are extremely curious and sensual, living a clear-headed, modern life. At first glance you place yourself on a pedestal, and are difficult to get along. But once others talk to you, they know you are easygoing. And when the relationship develops, they realise you are affable. You have an androgynous charm, which makes you popular with all genders. But you don’t like your weak side to be seen. You might look cool on the surface, but beneath it all, you are really Passionate. Only people who know your true self can maintain a long-lasting relationship with you."

Ouch ... *blushing*

Alone in the dark

Have u tried to drive on the MRR2 at 3AM in the morning on weekdays. Kinda surprising to notice that it was so deserted and sometimes look like u're the only one driving on some particular stretch. Well, most of the people are sleeping at that time, so it make sense. And, what are you doing driving at nite when u're suppose to be asleep? It's Wednesday morning for God sake and u'll start working in a few hours? Hehehe new experience working in the new place, they do deployment of projects at midnite! Of all the time given in a day, they chose midnite ... why? Dunno ... maybe x-file stuff, unexplainable.

Valentine Day?

What the heck is Valentine Day? It is also called "Festival of Love". To those misguided souls out there, here is a brief history of Valentine Day.

The Festival of Love was one of the festivals of the pagan Romans, when paganism was the prevalent religion of the Romans more than seventeen centuries ago. In the pagan Roman concept, it was an expression of "spiritual love".

The Romans used to celebrate this event in mid-February each year with a big festival.

Saint Valentine is a name which is given to two of the ancient "martyrs" of the Christian Church. It was said that there were two of them, or that there was only one, who died in Rome as the result of the persecution of the Gothic leader Claudius, c. 296 CE. In 350 CE, a church was built in Rome on the site of the place where he died, to perpetuate his memory.

When the Romans embraced Christianity, they continued to celebrate the Feast of Love mentioned above, but they changed it from the pagan concept of "spiritual love" to another concept known as the "martyrs of love", represented by Saint Valentine who had advocated love and peace, for which cause he was martyred, according to their claims. It was also called the Feast of Lovers, and Saint Valentine was considered to be the patron saint of lovers.

For me, this is just a perpetual bullshit. Why would we need one day to express our (never ending, breathless, suffocating, mind blowing, depthless ...) love when we have the whole year to do so? In terms of Islamic way, read the following ...

Islam does recognize happy occasions that bring people closer to one another, and add spice to their lives. However, Islam goes against blindly imitating the West regarding a special occasion such as Valentine’s Day. Hence, commemorating that special day known as the Valentine’s Day is an innovation or bid`ah that has no religious backing. Every innovation of that kind is rejected, as far as Islam is concerned. Islam requires all Muslims to love one another all over the whole year, and reducing the whole year to a single day is totally rejected.

Think about it ...

Secret recipe to be happy

How to be happy? You either can decide you wanna be happy, or you can wait for the happiness to come. When it's gonna come? One day perhaps. So the best bet is, you decide yourself to be happy anytime and anywhere. Just keep in mind the following things
  1. Free your heart from hatred
  2. Free your mind from worries
  3. Live simple
  4. Give more
  5. Expect less
Remember, happiness is something you decide on ahead of time. Either you can wake up everyday and sulk on the all the things that gone wrong with your life, or you can be thankful that you still have your life to enjoy because each day is a gift.

New house, new workplace, new job

One week transition period is not enough! Well, suppose to be adequate if you don't have so much to do. Took 5 days to move into a new house in Gombak. Thursday cleaning up the house, Friday still cleaning up and some furniture shopping, Saturday furniture assembling and packing at the old house, Sunday the big move, Monday and Tuesday still unpacking. And as of today, the house still looks like a ship wreck.

KLCC is such a good working place. What else can you ask? Working in the tallest building in Malaysia, shopping center just 2 lifts away, office on the 60th floor which make all the people down below look so small, no need to drive to work - LRT will do, and the best of all ... TGV! Unfortunately, the cellphone signal for CELCOM is so cumbersome, having to stand near the window whenever you wanna make call or receiving one, and ... freeze! Don't move about or else, the signal will drop. No problem with MAXIS though.

As for new job, nothing much to say. Started on Wednesday, 2nd Feb. The people here are nice. Now the time to learn and catch up. So many new things to learn which make the job more interesting. Although still involves programming, but will be doing different kind of things compared to the ones I used to do. Looking ahead for the new challenges ...
