Quote of the day

It takes strength to stand guard,
It takes courage to let you down your guard.

It takes strength to conquer
It takes courage to surrender.

It takes strength to feel a friend's pain
It takes courage to feel your own pain.

It takes strength to hide your own pains,
It takes courage to show them.

It takes strength to stand alone,
It takes courage to lean on another.

It takes strength to love,
It takes courage to be loved.

It takes strength to survive,
It takes courage to live.

If you feel you have neither, may the world
hug you today with its warmth, and love.

Some people promise forever but couldn't stay a minute
Some people say they will be there but they couldn't care less
But there are those who say they would stay for a while but never left

Married to my job

Now it's 10:45PM on Friday night and I'm still in the office. Finishing things up so we can deploy the project tonight and I can have a pleasant free weekend. Skipped gym for 4 days already due to hectic schedule of work.

Funny sometimes we're so into our job and we forgot to enjoy our life. For me, it's OK if you know when to get a break. And also you have to know to balance between your work and your personal life. Don't let your job consume most of your time (which is what my job is doing to me now ... heheh), but I believe less busy time is somewhere around the corner.

This week, felt like I'm living a life of a robot, wake up, go to work, work till late at night, go back to home and sleep, wake up the next morning and repeat the whole cycle again. And today, we'll be at the last mile of the development phase of the project. Because it's holiday tomorrow, so better finish everything. Thank God it's Friday!!!!

... and still in the office

It's nearly 3:30AM and I'm still stuck here in the office, thanks to a unresponsible bloody team mate. The boss asked me about my team mate already, his contribution to the project, what he's been doing and so on and so forth. I cannot lie to the boss, he already knows so I just confirmed lorr ... So now we just wait for the action to be taken. Ohh forgot to mention, that bugger went home around 10PM, probably now is fast asleep or busy fucking ... left us with his unfinished tasks.

If only we're more responsible to the tasks which are given to us ... that's what we're paid for right? Not for moonlighting and doing something else during office hour. We work in a team, ur unacceptable attitude will affect the whole team. So wise up and be more responsible!!!

Creature of the night

It's 11:15PM now and I'm still in the office. Grrrrr ... bloody team mate, left me and my boss with all the shits. Now, we're rushing cleaning up his stinking dung. Workkhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

Anyway, the view of KL from level 60 is wonderful. With all the street lights and houses, it's a pleasant and soothing relief.

Fuck!! More shits coming. Guess gonna be here until tomorrow morning. Urgghhh gonna skin him alive, pour some salt and lime juice too. Suffer arsehole! Dammit!!!!

Nothing

Every day the pain comes back again
The grief that tightens it's grip, day by day
Loneliness it haunts me, makes me cry
Feels like the world has abandoned me
I'm weak, I'm nothing, just a shadow of my life
My heart is dead and still I dream of you
Don't you understand you're the reason for my pain

I hear you calling me to come
There's no one I can see
Just the night's cold breeze
Oh god I'm so alone, so alone

I fear the darkness that makes me blind
There's nothing I can feel
These tears are nothing without you
I'm nothing without you

Can you see my heart, broken like my life
Nothing to hold on, nothing to live for
This pain is too much for me to take
Holding on to you was like holding on to nothing

My trust for you tore me apart
I gave all for you from my heart

I fear the darkness that makes me blind
There's nothing I can feel
These tears are nothing without you
I'm nothing without you

Can you see my heart, broken like my life
Nothing to hold on, nothing to live for
This pain is too much for me to take
Holding on to you was like holding on to nothing

aching, sore ... i'm in pain

After 4 straight days of so-called intense workout, today I am left with a body which is aching all over. I guess I over do it during the weekend. Feel like not coming to the office this morning, but heyy can not succumb to this aching just like that, right? U pay now for what u can reap later.

Yes, for those who are wondering, I went to the gym for the past 4 days. Been going for 3 weeks now. Got nothing else better to do. Plus, the badminton/futsal sessions are becoming pages in the history book. I need alternative for those forgotten activities and lucky I found it. Although it'll cost me a bit, but it's worth it. Nothing comes cheap these days.

Good workout is not just about weight lifting. The important thing is the cardiovascular exercise. Lots of people are ignoring it, they just go straight to the weight lifting. Cardio will help you in the long run lah weiihh. I'm seeing the benefits of it. The first week I could barely walk/jog on the treadmill for 3km in 30mins (with variable speed), but now I can walk/jog almost 4km in the same time frame and still have the energy to hop onto the cross-country device for 15mins or so, and zigzagging my way to a healthy life (yeah right, u forgot all the cigarettes!!)

After cardio, it's the weight resistance time. Use the light-weight machines before u moved on to those weight lifting thingy. Once you have developed ur muscles, then you can try the weight lifting. For me, i'll stick with the weight resistance for now. Dun wanna be the next WWF Superstar or Malek Noor replacement ... hahaha

So, anybody interested to join me ... lemme know, you can be my guest to the gym (u'll get a card which enable you to use the gym free for 7 days). Ohh, my schedule (which i'm trying hard to stick with) is Tuesday (8pm-10pm), Thursday (8pm-10pm), Saturday (3pm-6pm) and Sunday (5pm-7pm).

Until then, lemme immerse in this pain for now ... nggrkkkhhh

Take a breather

Got to the office quite late today, 10AM. As of now, taking a breather from the hectic lifestyle and worklife. Kinda feel tired too, but hey weekend is just 2 days ahead. Yeah right, like i can rest over the weekend.

While on the way to the office, something caught my attention when the DJs bitched about school holidays. It brought back all those sweet memories of school-going years. Those are the best days of my life (up to now) ... what about my dear readers out there (... if there is any)?

I remember, whenever there were school holidays, be it a long or a short ones, there're always something to do or somewhere to go. Usually, we (my siblings and I, with a few cousins) were offloaded to our uncle's/aunt's house, either in KL or Singapore. Those were the days when the mere mention of Tugu Negara, Marine Parade, Zoo Negara or Singapore Botanical Garden sounded very interesting and cunning. Not forgetting the ever luscious Pulau Sentosa and its cable cars.

But those are then, this is now. If I could even find time now to go to Zoo Negara, heck I'd be the happiest person in the world. Until I could find that time, let me go with the flow and see where it goes.

See ya'all around, folks ...

Cooking with me [part I]

Apple Salad

Green apple - diced
Red apple (Fuji or Royal Gala recommended) - diced
Mayonaisse
Thousand Islands salad dressing
Grounded almonds (or cashew or walnut or wateva)
A pinch of crushed black pepper

Mix diced apples with mayonaisse and salad dressing. Then, put in the grounded almonds and sprinkle a bit of crushed black pepper. Mix all together and serve.

p/s: for those who are concerned about their weight (sumi?), you can try with low-fat mayonaisse and leave out the salad dressing.
