Last day at work

16 October 2000 felt like last week, but that was the date when I joined this company. And today, is my last day here. So after more than 4 years working with AZAG/BrainConnect, it's time to move on. Where to?

Why one chose to change job? I wanna do something new, something refreshing, looking for a new challenge, environment and everything. After growing stagnant during last year, and thanks to a dear friend who "sold my name", I decided to move to a new pasture. Maybe the grass is greener there.

To all my colleagues, thank you so much for all the joy, hardwork and cooperation during our time together. I'll miss those times. But for now, looking forward to start a new life ...

And for my friends, I'm sure you all are waiting for the day I have to cut my hair ... duhh

Of vampire and elegancy

What do we know of vampire? Or perhaps the glamorous name, dracula? An undead creature of the night who suck blood to the last heartbeat of their hapless victims. Logically, do they really exist? We do not know for sure, leave the unknown remains unbeknown. In literature, we are spoilt with choices. There are so many writtings and works on the subject of vampire.

Most of these writtings potray the vampire as what we understood today. Evil creature which prey on human beings to keep on living by sucking the blood. But, does vampire have his/her humanity side? Anne Rice, my favorite author, brings us a new dimension in the vampire world. Instead on focusing on the savage nature of vampire, we're introduced to the more lush, elegance and vast expanse of vampiric life. It's like having a look into the humanity side (if there is still any left) of a vampire. His lust, passion, sexuality and salvation of his immortal life unfold eloquently.

Anyone watched the movie Interview With The Vampire before? That movie was adapted from the book with the same title by Anne Rice. Queen of the Damned, was adapted from the third book from The Vampire Chronicles which now count at 10 volumes. What about Bram Stoker: Dracula? Those vampires potrayed in a life full of elegancy. Medieval architecture, astonishing robes and of course, from higher social rank descendant. Sleek long hair, pearly white fangs, dark drapes, ghastly skin and sharp eyes ... very der gothic.

The Sound of Music

What kind of intelligence do you have?
I was reading somebody else's blog and came stumbled upon this exciting website. It has all sorts of varieties of quizzes. So, decided to take one .. after answering a few questions, and the answer it gave me as shown below. Hmm ... yeah, when I was small, I dreamt about being a rock star ... hahaha

But, I have to admit music is a part of my life. Eventhough I do not play any musical instrument, ok a little bit guitar ... but the sound of music is ever present in my daily life. As for taste of music, mellowed a bit these few years. Listen to any kind of song as long as it is good, not just for the commercial sake but also quality.

Soilwork - Stabbing The Drama [2005]

  1. Stabbing The Drama
  2. One With The Flies
  3. Weapon Of Vanity
  4. The Crestfallen
  5. Nerve
  6. Stalemate
  7. Distance
  8. Observation Slave
  9. Fate In Motion
  10. Blind Eye Halo
  11. If Possible
Soilwork soon to be released album, the perfect follow-up to 2003's Figure Number Five. What they have here is what's left from 2002's Natural Born Chaos with the catchiness of FNF merged into one outstanding release for 2005. Critics are divided about Soilwork now, but their latest release is an affirmation to illustrate their exciting music evolution. Björn "Speed" Strid, the singer, now is at ease alternating between clean vocals and the growling/shrieking. He even managed to hit a few high notes, just listen to Nerve.

"walk straight for a final solution, walk straight don't you be so cold, walk straight with a clear resolution, i'll stick my case and never turn"

Long Term Relationship

A friend asked me this morning about long term relationship? How to have one, how to be in one and how to survive ... and my answer was, how the heck should i know? Well, after a few research I can come out with some conclusions, but please be aware i'm not speaking in terms of experience but rather knowledge.

To be in an LTR, some of the characteristics are
  1. Timeless love - simply commit to each other for better or for worse
  2. Mutual faithfulness - be faithful with each other, no associated affair
  3. Satisfaction - unresolved dissatisfactions kill relationship
  4. Shared history - the more of life two people experience together, the more connected they become and continue to be
  5. Family ties - depends on one upbringing and how their relationship with siblings and relatives
  6. Communication - communicate, communicate and communicate
  7. Maturing together - help each other to grow as individuals
So there you go, if you wanna have one, those are the charecteristics that you need to have to make the relationship last forever. Don't take my words 100%, they could be true or they could turn into lies. The most important thing is, to survive in a relationship, one must understand and accept your significant other as who he/she is.
