Of vampire and elegancy

What do we know of vampire? Or perhaps the glamorous name, dracula? An undead creature of the night who suck blood to the last heartbeat of their hapless victims. Logically, do they really exist? We do not know for sure, leave the unknown remains unbeknown. In literature, we are spoilt with choices. There are so many writtings and works on the subject of vampire.

Most of these writtings potray the vampire as what we understood today. Evil creature which prey on human beings to keep on living by sucking the blood. But, does vampire have his/her humanity side? Anne Rice, my favorite author, brings us a new dimension in the vampire world. Instead on focusing on the savage nature of vampire, we're introduced to the more lush, elegance and vast expanse of vampiric life. It's like having a look into the humanity side (if there is still any left) of a vampire. His lust, passion, sexuality and salvation of his immortal life unfold eloquently.

Anyone watched the movie Interview With The Vampire before? That movie was adapted from the book with the same title by Anne Rice. Queen of the Damned, was adapted from the third book from The Vampire Chronicles which now count at 10 volumes. What about Bram Stoker: Dracula? Those vampires potrayed in a life full of elegancy. Medieval architecture, astonishing robes and of course, from higher social rank descendant. Sleek long hair, pearly white fangs, dark drapes, ghastly skin and sharp eyes ... very der gothic.
